These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "User") and MyPyMentor, Inc. ("MyPyMentor", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of mypymentor.com and the MyPyMentor application (the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them along with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
You may not create more than one free account per person. Accounts are personal and non-transferable. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that we determine, in our sole discretion, are being used fraudulently or in violation of these Terms.
MyPyMentor offers a free plan that includes access to the Python Fundamentals learning path and 15 AI messages per day. The free plan is provided at no charge and may be used indefinitely, subject to these Terms.
Pro subscriptions unlock all learning paths, 500 AI messages per day, and all platform features. Pro is available on a monthly or annual billing cycle. Prices are displayed in your local currency where supported and are inclusive of applicable taxes.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until then.
Payments are processed securely by Paddle, a certified Merchant of Record. By subscribing, you authorise Paddle to charge your payment method on a recurring basis in accordance with your chosen plan. We do not store your full payment card details.
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. If we change pricing for an existing plan, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the new price. If you do not agree to the new price, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.
We want you to be confident in your purchase. Our refund policy is as follows:
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account, at our sole discretion, without notice or refund.
The Service and all of its content — including but not limited to the curriculum, lessons, exercises, AI system, code, text, graphics, user interface, and trademarks — are owned by MyPyMentor, Inc. and are protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial learning purposes only.
Any code you write, projects you create, or content you share within the Service ("User Content") remains yours. By submitting User Content to public areas of the Service (e.g., the community forum), you grant MyPyMentor a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and distribute that content as part of the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
Py's responses are generated by artificial intelligence and are provided for educational purposes. While we work to ensure accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors, outdated information, or incomplete explanations.
You should not rely on Py's responses as a substitute for professional advice, and you should independently verify any code or technical content before using it in production systems. MyPyMentor accepts no liability for errors in AI-generated content.
We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice, for maintenance, updates, or any other reason.
If we materially modify or discontinue a feature that you paid for, we will provide reasonable notice and, where appropriate, a proportionate credit or refund at our discretion.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MYPYMENTOR, INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES — ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT WILL OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $100 USD.
You may terminate your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if required by law. If we terminate your account without cause, we will provide a pro-rata refund of any prepaid subscription fees.
Sections 6 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Disclaimers), 10 (Limitation of Liability), and 12 (Governing Law) survive termination of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Before initiating any formal dispute, you agree to first and give us 30 days to attempt to resolve the matter informally.
If informal resolution fails, any dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will be conducted in English. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify you by email or a prominent notice within the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service and may cancel your subscription for a refund of any prepaid period.
